** Just a FYI:  The privately-owned Owl Woods on Amherst Island will be closed for a

3-week hunting period from 19th November to 9th December. The woods will

reopen on 10th December.

Lovely photo on a crisp sunny day.

I went to Amherst Island for the first time in 2017 and visited Owl Woods - on that particular day it was devoid of any birds let alone an owl. Apart from a few Snowy Owls the Island was very quiet. However, on the way to catch the ferry I managed to see and photograph a Great Grey Owl that made the trip worth every liter of gas.
