A group of approx 50+ landed fairly close to me while photographing Snowy Owls the other evening.

Now I am truly jealous, snowies, now redpolls too? I am such a new birder, I haven't even seen a redpoll

Great pix...yet again....ever submit your pix to Birds & Blooms magazine?
-
You pretty much captured every conceivable angle for identification in one of those group pix :D

The right person in the right place at the right time with the right gear.
My birding history often has four rights too .... full circle, putting me right back where I started .... nowhere special.
Have not seen a Redpoll in a few years so I'm just about due for a treat, except they all seems ti be out east entertaining you.
Perhaps they just wanted to check-out the famous owl-man. Fame has its perks.
Engaging shots for sure.

I used to, and funny you mention it but they published a shot of a Common Redpoll I took a few years back. At some point it seemed that they changed their website and I could no longer figure out out to upload shots?

Don't look at me....I gotta ask Napper to upload pix on this site for me....
I think they published a pic submitted by Rob'inTO in the last issue -- a BC chickadee....
