Title: Wild Turkeys in Trees
Post by: jnish on February 04, 2019, 05:58:40 AM
As I was driving along Taunton Road in Pickering yesterday, I noticed about a dozen turkeys perched in two trees.  I know they sleep in trees, but I have never seen so many in a tree together.  Pretty awesome sight!  I tried to take a photo, but they were pretty far from the road--binos were required.

Good find, yes they do indeed roost in trees and sometimes a long ways up. At their size you would never think that, and after having seen them fly they are quite mobile also.
