Title: Downsview Park Camera Setup
Post by: Dinusaur on March 27, 2019, 11:21:28 PM
While on a trail inside the park a friend of mine and I saw two motion triggered cameras setup, 90 degrees apart and close to the ground. There's no ground-nesting bird at this time, I am wondering what these two cameras are for? Someone tracking Coyote or deer in the park? Was it setup by the park official to monitor something else? I wonder if anybody knows about it. The park is frequented by many people and also leash free dogs. I may drop by again; if I see the cameras I'll contact the security people.

Mystery solved. Came to know on Friday that those were setup by the tree planting companies for monitoring what critters are damaging the young trees. However, they should've left a note - anyone could remove them away without knowing what the purpose was.
