Title: Swallow ID
Post by: Shortsighted on May 27, 2019, 06:25:50 PM
Found this swallow collecting nesting fiber on the beach.
It's shape reminds me of a Barn swallow but it is very brown and plain.
Could it be a Rough-winged swallow?

Could be a female Purple Martin. Do you have any idea of the size of the bird?

By Jove, I think you've got it!
That beak looked familiar and not exactly Barnesque.
It was rather elongated (like BS) but its size I cannot
recall. On sand there is little point-of-reference.
Thank you for opening the right door of my mind.
Now, how are you at fixing a psychosis?
