Title: Black Swallowtail

Barely got outside and the first thing that catches my eye is a Swallowtail.

I hum a Nat Cole classic, say ... something like Poinciana and make certain I do not move.

Nice shot, looks like dandelions are impotant in early summer for butterflies as well as bees as a source of early food until other flowers emerge.

Excellent point. I knew dandelions had a purpose. If it exists at a certain time
it likely has a place in a very big and complex puzzle. I may be becoming more
observant but there seem to be many butterflies this year, if not in actual numbers
but in variety easily spotted.
