Spotted this in the woods adjacent to Highland Creek.
The only plant that comes to mind is the Jack-in-the-pulpit.
Anyone have any idea?

Looks like Jack-in-the-pulpit to me.

Thanks for the verification.
I must go back and check it out with fore-knowledge,
a feature that has so much more utility than the ignorance
button I had engaged when I first saw this odd plant.
Maybe I can locate a more pristine-looking specimen.
