Title: Birding Lense
Post by: JTF on May 01, 2008, 01:59:26 PM
Would the SIGMA AF170-500MM APO DG be a good one for birding on a Nikon D50. They are on sale at Henry's for $749.00

That was our first long lens. It's okay when stopped down, and AF speed is not very fast. We replaced it with the Bigma 50-500, which is very sharp and focuses much faster.

My dad actually found his on Ebay for under $300-.

This one should be good tho :D http://www.henrys.com/webapp/wcs/stores ... mID=238908 (http://www.henrys.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ItemsDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&departmentId=10407&categoryId=10412&itemID=238908)
