I was surprised to discover the owl flew across the stream when I went down the ravine was a fledgling, with downs still on his head. His mother was watching quietly 10 meters away, and I only found her after. Notice the loose feather on her? I found it!! After she took off, the feather flew down, 30 mins searching in tall grass and 300 mosquito bites, totally worth it!~

Thank you. The mother doesn't seem to bother when I take photos of her. I can see her scanning the area when I point my binoculars at her.
