Every time I wanted to go down to the ravine, it started to rain, but I wanted to check the owl so much, so I put on my rain boots, and started to go down. I saw him/ her right away, just landed on a branch, trying to dry its feathers. And the other one flew into another taller tree with more cover. Robins are upset and jumping up and down on the same tree, way too far away. None of them were as brave as the coopers :D :D
I got some shots of its sunning, and then something caught its attention from above, and it took off.

The 2nd one was too well hidden this time. Can someone teach me how to tell a male and a female of adult owls?

nice shots....you are lucky to find one in your favorite spot. Telling the difference is hard unless you see both together, they look the same but female is slightly larger. you could also have a parent with a fledgling from this year

Thank you so much Dave. I confirmed there are a parent and a fledgling with clear shots. But the one hidden yesterday didn't seem to have down on the head, that's why I suspected a third one.
