Title: Female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird
Post by: MEGHAN on August 07, 2019, 12:38:07 AM
I haven't photographed Hummingbirds in a few years so I'm a little rusty. I forgot how much fun and challenging  they can be!
Hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous summer

Beautiful composition on the second shot with superb balance. The bold bloom of
an intense red juxtaposed with soft pastel blue bokeh translated through the wings
and the complementary hummingbird green. The impact of a painting with the same
lasting impression. I have not seen anything this peaceful in a while.

Great pictures! Nice that you captured them feeding on cardinal flowers, a beautiful native wildflower.

Thank you John
Cardinal Flower is about the only plant I cannot grow in my garden. I try it almost every year and it never survives the winter. It's a shame as I love the flowers
