Title: Common Goldeneye?
Post by: Simcoe on September 06, 2019, 04:30:33 PM
A Common Goldeneye seems to be too much of a rarity for July at the east end of Lake Ontario.  I just want to check the ID.  Colouration more like a female, but with the white patch at the base of the bill. An immature male?

Looks like an immature male Common Goldeneye.
Here is a shot of what I also considered an immature male.
