Heard a group of chickadees giving alarm calls and look what I found. Very late in the day with not much natural light left. Managed to focus on its head through the narrow opening.

It is still a beautiful photo. They are moving in for sure. Yesterday I saw my First of the Year Long-eared Owl.

Intimate pose so still a nice shot. I have yet to see one though heaven knows
I've searched the dark depths of plenty of conifers in search of these delightful
little owls.
