Hey!
Literally just walked in the door upon returning from the Niagara Region this morning.
Departed Port Colborne around 11:30 am.
I observed a group of 5 Turkey Vultures soaring above the river at Wellandport, then another group of 5 roosting in a tree
sunning themselves wings open along Niagara rd. 27 South of Highway 20.
Spotted 2 American Kestrels on Hydro wires on Niagara# 27 and a very light underbellied Red Tailed Hawk soaring over the road.
Little surprised seeing the T.V.s, I didn't see them along the same route last evening around 4:30 pm.

I once saw a black vulture up here in January (the only one I've ever seen)...and not a warm January day....when I shared it with a local member of the Saugeen Field Naturalists, he said he's seen vultures in winter...not common but not unheard....but it's weird....I'm bald....I wear a toque from late Sept. to mid may.....
