Title: Cooper's or Sharp-shinned hawk?

An adult hawk but can't distinguish from this photo ... too much concealment.
Sharp-shinned fly south for the winter and follow migratory birds on its north-
bound return. We have not seen much in the way of migratory birds yet and
therefore it is probably a Cooper's hawk. Sharp-shinned is a late spring and
summer visitor. Thanks for posting.

I will try to get a better photo in the coming days, as I frequent that area often. If it is building a nest (I saw it flying with a twig in its beak) then I guess it's planning to stay around.
