Title: Birding in Earl Bales Park
Post by: Leslie Kinrys on May 24, 2006, 09:36:57 PM
I was birding in Earl Bales Park, this evening. There are always good birds there. Overhead, there were Chimney Swifts. I saw a male American Redstart and a male Magnolia Warbler. There are Baltimore Orioles, Gray Catbirds and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. For the first time, I heard a Wood Thrush in the area. I also saw a male Downy Woodpecker at his nest-hole. You could hear the young begging for food.
