Title: Yearly dilema, possibly solved
Post by: Napper on April 04, 2020, 11:54:34 AM
Every year around this time we have a brief visit from a small group of "black birds" that I struggle to identify.

This morning again a group of four "small"  all "black" birds made a brief stop before moving on.
They seem smaller than Red Wing Black Birds and have a very distinctive call.

Grab the camera and listen to the calls, missed them again. They move too fast.

After listening to Brewers, Brown Headed Cowbirds online I finally narrowed it down to Rusty Black birds.

Has any one else seen These birds recently?

I have only seen them in the spring once. It may have been last year, which seems so
long ago now. I usually see them in the fall and have only photographed them in the
fall.
