Title: coyote kill
Post by: Axeman on April 25, 2020, 08:35:42 PM
With the great weather today, I dragged the dog into the bush today and found another (I assume) coyote kill -- a deer. That would make 3 that I have found on our property...I was trying to figure out if if was from this winter or a previous winter. The bones were clean and white...no green on the bones...there was a slight scattering of the bones but the skeleton seemed pretty much all there at the site...and there was a great deal of the deer hide still....anyone know how to gauge the length of time it's been there?

It's a bit of a hobby of mine...to go into our bush in the spring and find stuff like that...  8)
