Title: Humber River Trail May 5
Post by: Ally on May 05, 2020, 10:30:26 PM
Saw my first warbler, think is a Nashville. Also the blue-gray gnatcatchers arrived, torturing my neck. I saw a flycatcher. looks like a Great Crested, but from a distance, it looked a bit small. The spot Sandpiper and rough winged are the highlight today for me.

Great outing you had. Yes your 1st image is a Great Crested Flycatcher.

Nice variety.

Your sandpiper is a Solitary Sandpiper, note eye ring, more mottled appearance on the back and lack of spots on the breast/belly (Spotted would have spots at this time of year).
