Title: Oriole, Surprise, Milton
Post by: Napper on May 12, 2020, 09:59:59 AM
Got a surprise just now, I took my coffee out on the deck closed the door and a Baltimore Oriole appeared from no where landed inside our Gazebo for an instant started chattering and flew off between the houses.

A minute or so later I spot it again two doors down at a liquid style feeder, I think the feeder is empty it chattered again and flew off.

I don't recall seeing an Oriole here in Milton in the last 10 plus years.

p.s. the DE Junco's are back today.

Napper:)

On second shift indefinitely due to separation requirements.

Very nice!

The one I spotted looked a lot more yellow. It was very sunny at the time and I wasn't wearing my prescription sun goggles  8) .

This has been a really, really,  long, cold, Miserable week.

Napper:)

I can barley type I am so tired.

Welcome to my world.
The oriole pictured, which I saw on the feeder about a half hour after hearing it in the trees
has not returned. No Hummers yet. The two will likely make an appearance soon. Today is
so dark and dismal I couldn't even take photographs,.

The backyard squirrels took a liking to my hummingbird feeder and almost destroyed it. No hummers yet.
