I had a very strange day today . I work for Mill St. Brewery and on my way to Peterborough with a load of beer, on the 115 just a little north of Tauton Road I see this thing that looks like a Loon sitting on the center line . I pulled over and it was a Loon so I managed to get it off the hwy . I started calling numbers and eventually found a clinic that would that a look and it took off into the field pushing itself along . I made a box out of a couple off beer boxes put the Loon in and took it to the Champlain Clinic .I thought it had been hit by a car and it was hurt badly . They took x-rays and nothing was broken and it will be released soon . They think it saw a mirage on the road and thought it was water . Funny a Loon riding along in a 5 ton beer truck .

lol I didn't have my camera with me and did think that I should use my phone to take a picture , but I thought that the Loon was really hurt and I don't usually take pictures of animals or people in distress . I guess I wouldn't make a very good reporter .

It would have been funny to see a loon on a keg :)

They released the loon last night and it seemed to be just fine and they refused to take any money for their time . A new beer called Loon Pale Ale .
