Title: Chestnut-sided Warbler
Post by: Ed O'Connor on May 27, 2020, 05:23:42 PM
It seems way too early for spring migration to be finished, but such is life. I was up in the York Regional Forest, North Tract, on Monday and saw a few good birds. Only one cooperated for photos, however, this very obliging Chestnut-sided Warbler. Until next year.

At least you got to see one this spring. Nice semi-isolation shot too. The colour
seems a little pale, subdued as if it might be a female, or a young male. I saw
only three species this spring: two in the woods up the street and one in the
tree on the boulevard in front of the house. I'm hearing a wren in the woods
across the street every day now but I have not seen it and I'm not quite free
enough to explore the area.
