Post by: Napper on June 01, 2020, 10:43:00 AM
Axeman sent me some images to post of a Coyote.

Let him explain it.

lol thanks NAPSTER....for posting -- although I couldn't actually see the pix...

These are pix my mother took of a coyote in their backyard...they live in Port Credit, beside the Adamson Estate / Derry House park...the east side of their road ends in the mouth of Cooksville Creek....

Growing up as a kid -- the 70's....the 80's....and sigh even in the 90's...there were no signs of coyotes...I think it was after 2000 my mother told me about a sign going up on the spit (created in the late 70's) warning of coyote presence...I am fascinated by urban coyotes...I hear them often up here but we never see them (or rarely)...they're hunted mercilessly in the winter....

I guess this should really be in the GTA wildlife section....

Apparently the pix were taken in February around 1 pm....the coyote had shown up a few hours earlier and spent the time sleeping in that spot.
