Caught this fellow while sipping my coffee on the deck this morning.

Good things happen to those of us who are prepared.
You keep your camera in a hip holster and can bring it bear
at a moment's notice. I love the pines on your driveway.
Picked a Pileated pining for notoriety. Those softly blurred
needles framing the pine bark and a perfect pecker profile.
What's not to love?

Had a Mystery bird Saturday.

I got some images of it.. It's either a Merlin or a Sharpie..

Just back from boys weekend at beach, gonna look at images .

They weren't very good images if I recall,,  I don't recall much from this weekend thou :oops:

No I must have deleted them,, Sigh.

Lots of the Pileated thou. It spent a good thirty minutes removing bark. It didn't seem to care that I was using a vehicle as a brace for the camera.
