I always wonder when birds toss their kill mid air, will they drop it by accident, and the kingbird showed me

I'm not entirely sure whether he got it back at the end or not. I saw him chase away a robin, and my pics are all out of focus unfortunately.

Some funny pics, it almost look like the yellow has a heart shaped halo
