Title: Rosetta McClain Gardens
Post by: Bluffs Birder on May 11, 2008, 01:03:10 AM
Hi All,

Yesterday morning at Rosetta McClain Gardens I had a Red-headed Woodpecker fly past about 25 feet off the ground.  He flew from a tree in the backyard just to the west of the park and continued straight across heading eastward along the bluffs.  Hopefully the next one I see will stop in the park so I can get an even better look.

Some other birds seen were: Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Warbling Vireo, Baltimore Oriole, Northern Mockingbird, Eastern Kingbird, Brown Thrasher, Red-tailed Hawk, Turkey Vulture, American Kestrel, Killdeer, Yellow Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Palm Warbler, Barn Swallow, and Bank Swallow.

Happy Birding!
