Title: Humber River Trail July 12

Some more fledglings ventured out. We played a game of 'paper, scissor and rock', I lost because he is both paper and scissors.

I was sure the one with the wings open is a fledgling because he has his mouth open towards another kingbird instead of a bug. The kingfishers are both out, so nice to see them hunt together, and run away from me together

Look at him, he is so in love. Haven't seen a Great Blue heron for a long time, didn't see him at all until I startled him away. He's got fans.

Your first photo may indeed be a juvenile Gnatcatcher but it first struck me
as being a juvenile Warbling vireo ... hard to see the bill head-on. The other BGG
are adult birds (male) not fledglings or juveniles. I almost never see an adult BGG
during summer.

Funny you should say that, there was a vireo nearby with the Gnatcatchers, but failed to get any shots. It was whining the whole time while feeding.
