Title: Nuthatches's, Milton
Post by: Napper on September 08, 2020, 09:43:54 AM
Stepped outside this cool cloudy morning to the sounds of Red Breasted Nuthatches in the backyard.

Heard them in Tiny Township this past weekend as well. :)

I heard a lot of them chatting in my yard this morning as well. Maybe passing some important Ontario hatch info or having a turf war with the Chickadees.

They love drinking from the ant moat on the hummingbird feeder - if only they would develop a taste for wasps! Btw, has anyone seen a white breasted nuthatch recently? I used to have them around all the time, would give the kids seeds to hand feed them, haven't seen any here for a few years. :)

I saw one at James Garden on the 3rd, thought I posted. I'm sure they are around, whining as usual. And my friend got a injured Redbreasted nuthatch yesterday, it flew into the glass window. Hope the little guy will be able to make it.

I hear nuthatch chatter in the woodlot across the street most mornings.
I saw one of them after lunch today.
