Title: Purple Finch?

I'm still searching for the elusive purple finch.  I think photo 1 might be a purple finch, but I'm quite certain photos 2 and 3 (same bird) are a purple finch.

Am I right, or have I once again mistaken a house finch for a purple finch?

Hard to tell from your photos.
The last shot looks like a House Finch.
The first two shots are dicey. A Purple finch has
red on its back and the House finch not so much.
The streaking is sparse, but that might be due to
its underdeveloped status. Let's call it a Purple House Finch.

At least the top one, I would say Purple Finch.

I think the first two photos look good for purple finch. The second one has got good colour towards the back of the head and no streaking on the belly like the house finch in the third photo.

Thanks for the input.  Good point about streaking vs. lack thereof on the belly.  I'm going to go with purple finch for the top two photos, which are the same bird.
