Title: the thrush who insists to have its photos taken
Post by: Ally on September 27, 2020, 05:45:41 PM
Okay, I admit I'm not 100% sure whether he is a Hermit or a Swainson, but he is so curious, the first shot was taken when I was still in door, and he was on that perch for several minutes waiting for me to change lenses. After, I went out close to the edge, he popped out and got better pictures taken.

Eye-ring, no buff or gray on face and rusty tail = Hermit Thrush
Your last photo is a White-throated sparrow (of course).
I have a couple of WT sparrows in the backyard but certainly no
thrush. Not much of anything around here except Bluejays.
Yesterday there was a large squadron of them coming out of
the woodlot, like there was a hidden runway behind the trees.
