Still a number of loons at Barrie waterfront, and can be seen fairly close to shore feeding .............. note to visitors bring lots of change, parking meter only take coins and police are there monitoring cars for valid permits. $10 per hour but seeing the loons up close before they leave is worth added cost
( Common Loon & Pacific Loon....Red-throated was not as co-operative)

Just a couple of hundred meters away (east end of the Simcoe St.)
is another Public Parking lot with the rates only - $1 per hour.
Not even 5 minutes walk to the Barrie Marina.

Good to know. $10/hour is daylight robbery. I would love to see a Pacific Loon this close.
