Title: RFI-chorus of singing birds in Toronto
Post by: lovelight on May 15, 2008, 01:03:23 PM
Hello all,
As I was walking my dogs this a.m. I came across a group of five or so birds all together in one tree. They were singing together so loudly that at first I thought that someone in the park was banging a metal rod on the concrete (in a sing-song sort of way). They were mostly grey and white, with black markings, I think. They had a black ring around the back of their necks. Their tails were shaped like canoe paddles and their beaks were prominant (some had black and others white, I believe). I have never noticed these singers before and perhaps they are just passing through? They were gone when I returned. What a treat!
Any info. would be much appreciated. Thanks
