Title: Boreal Owl

Around New Year's Eve I saw and heard what I am almost certain was a boreal owl near the Cricket Club in North York. I had to really look to find a suitable identification, which was really confirmed by ear, and it was hard to find any record of boreal owls in Toronto, but I finally found a mention of the boreal owl as an occasional winter visitor in A Birdfinding Guide to the Toronto Region. Before I list it anywhere or claim it, I wonder if there is any other owl I should consider that might be what I actually saw?

A Saw-whet owl can sound somewhat like a Boreal owl.
