I was working, and looked out and saw the Merlin perched out. I gently slide the door, and heard a faint Red tailed hawk, and I kept looking, because the Merlin didn't seem to be too nervous, then the caller came

The Merlin gave me the look: do you see what I have to put up with? before leaves.

Nice series.You either have exceptional peripheral vision or you're not working that hard ...... nose to the grindstone kind of concentration .... hope you are wearing safety goggles ...now, get back to work.

I don't know how others managed to work from home with the same efficiency. When I'm not peeping out for birds or other animals, I spend a lot of time staring at the plants I have. Maybe looking at green stuff helps to keep me sane, if I was sane to begin with.

I laughed when I found out that calls were made by blue jays. They are brats!

Blue jays have an impressive repertoire of calls including sounds that resemble the call of monkeys in a tropical jungle. They communicate much better than office managers and that skill is instrumental in their success in the world of birds. As for plants, well, everyone needs plants. You can look at them, talk to them, water them, fertilize them, harvest them, eat them and my favourite … watch them die of supervised neglect. Just keep watching the bird. Never mind being inefficient at work … we have software for that.
