Sooooooo in a recent edition of a local publication..."The Biz Bull", it was reported that one of our councillors was asking for a coyote cull. Apparently coyotes have been seen in town (Mount Forest) and have....been seen approaching HOUSES! (*Gasp....oh the humanity! Will somebody think of the children -- the hysterical woman on the Simpsons)....and of course the reflex reaction was to call for a cull.
I have put a call into the councillor to get a better sense of what's going on and I am looking to find a biologist who works with coyotes to chat with as I Marshall the arguments against a cull. I doubt that it will come to a cull given that it will cost but frankly, I'd like to get rid of the open season on coyotes and just stop with the reflex reaction.

I’m just spit-balling here, but what if you got a band together called the “Coyotes” so that there is confusion in town about whether the animal, or the band was spotted. Arrange a duel concert with the Bare Naked Ladies because we all know which band will win. Then you could publish an article that essentially states the outcome … Bare Naked Ladies trounce the town’s Coyotes. That way people won’t be as frightened and … who knows, maybe the streets will get a whole lot more interesting.

because we all know which band will win.
lol wait.....we don't all know which band would win....thems fighting words....
(1) I'm a freaking awesome guitarist with a pretty decent voice
(2) BNL haven't deserved to call themselves BNL since Page left -- although I'll admit he sucks on his own too.
(3) You're forgetting the power of the home town crowd....
Good idea though....I have a BNL story though....from back when Page was part of the band.
lol
