My nonbirder friend who lives in Windsor told me she say lots of finger size birds with dark backs flipping in the branches. I have no idea what she is talking about, but sounds exciting nevertheless.

I noticed....now that winter is back, that the birds aren't chirping in the early morning.....does anyone know if migrations are fluid.....do they go back south a little with downturn in temps. if we had a premature spring?

With the winter encore that we are currently enduring do you feel like singing? Some birds are too busy meeting the caloric requirements to worry about territory. I'm not singing. Maybe a bilabial fricative, or two.
