I wrote about this pair last year. They were nesting on the platform of the Branson Hospital's chimney, which is in the Bathurst/Finch area. Since early January, the hawks have been displaying breeding behaviour. It started with them visiting the platform, although they perched far away from each other on the railings. Then, they started sitting neater and nearer each other. Also, they soar together. They have been adding twigs to last year's nest. Yesterday, I saw that the male had brought food for the female, which she was eating. I have my scope trained on them. I will continue to post updates about this year's attempt at nesting.

Good to hear and best of luck to the pair. If remember correctly the pair didn't have much luck last year.

You're correct. Last year, nothing happened. I hope this year that they are more experienced and better at nesting.

Today (April 7), I saw one of the hawk, sitting deep within the nest. That is a good sign, since I've been seeing courtship flights and more food deliveries to the female. I figure for early May hatching.
