Title: Red-shouldered Hawk - Mississauga
Post by: Dinusaur on March 17, 2021, 05:22:33 PM
A Red-shouldered Hawk has been hanging around in Mississauga at the intersection of Mavis Road and Queensway for several months now. Apparently it is a repeat visit as it was seen last year too. On March 6 I dropped by to try my luck and was rewarded immediately after my arrival.  Here are some photos of the hawk.

Superb shot of a Red-shouldered hawk with a painterly exposure that exquisitely reveals the salient features that identify this species. You’ve got the bright sky situation polished to a gleam; so much so that the image comes across as a rendering. In other words, too perfect! Superpowers are in good hands.
