Title: Coyote in downtown core
Post by: dodo on March 19, 2021, 11:22:29 AM
Last night after midnight I saw a lean looking coyote standing on the sidewalk beside city hall. When I approached, it ran out onto Bay St. and headed south.

Must have fled from the Township of Wellington North where we have no tolerance for coyotes apparently. I wish him well.

A couple of nights ago, we were walking along Dundas just east of the ramp to the northbound DVP.  In a parking lot stood a lone coyote, contemplating its next move.  We stopped and sat down to watch it, which didn't please it much and it disappeared into the bush adjacent to the ramp.

Haven't seen one for a while. Have you more sightings of the River Otter?

Unfortunately no.  Not surprising, given it is the one and only time we have ever seen one in the city.

Years ago I saw a pair of coyotes cross Bloot St. at Royal York.
