Seems to be more coyotes around this year..or just I am seeing them more often.. Almost stepped on one of these sleeping under a cedar yesterday when I was checking out the tree for any owls..... East Mississauga/ Etobicoke border

Wow, he was staring right at you!

Great shots!!

I spoke up at a council meeting last night up here....they want to cull them....b/c people are seeing a lot more of them.....the theory is, if we're seeing more there must be more of them....and if there are more of them we must kill them.....

Great pix!

that shows their lack of experience and understanding of the animal...... I have seen quite a few and never once felt threaten by them or intimidated, quite the opposite, the coyotes when out of their way to avoid me and kept their distance.
More sightings, as 10x more peolpe outside in their space this last year and 1/2 with Covid situation and doesn't help all these park visitors leaving garbage everywhere which attracts the mice/ rat and enturn the coyotes

Wow Dave, that blond one is a real beauty. I don't think there are any more Coyotes this year as opposed to previous. I just think we are out more and so we are seeing them more. An area can only support a certain number. So in theory, there can't be any more.

Happy update on the motion by our council for coyote cull -- township staff were directed to put info on living with coyotes up on website and social media....pending OFA submitting their opinion.
