First day this spring that I have been able to confirm identity of small flitting birds that were not kinglets.
Location Taylor Creek Park restored pond/wetland
Blue-headed Vireo
Yellow Warbler (male) singing
They were both very cooperative hanging around together on low branches close to the path.
Also watched Mallards mating in the creek and a pair of Flickers attempting to carry out courtship ritual while being harassed by a Red-winged Blackbird.
