American Redstart is back, so is the Solitary Sandpiper

I spent a lot of time watching one of the killdeers cleans out a spot and creates a hole, using it beak, the chest, and both legs. Hopefully she nests there. At least three of them were across the water, and so much fun watching them trying to chase the third one away.

Met a few young men painted this to memorize their friend who recently passed away. Rest in peace!
