Title: Gray Catbird, Milton
Post by: Napper on May 22, 2021, 10:32:02 PM
Had a Gray/Grey Catbird on the fence this morning @ 9:00 am with it's companion in the tree above it.Heard one about an hour later in the tree next door and later around 5 pm one flew along the back fence.
Got an Image but not good. With all the Fireworks going on this night they will be long gone.

Had one in our backyard yesterday too.  First one we've seen in our backyard in years.

Spotted one again yesterday on the ground along the back fence, it entered the yard next door.It flew back across our yard carrying nesting material.
We have a Mulberry tree in our backyard that produces large purple fruit that the birds love.

Clever of you to deploy a birdbath the same austere gray as the catbird. Although this shot would be fodder for B&W it remains perhaps even more Soviet bloc austere in colour, where there is no colour and coherent with the catbird's sympathies. Well done!I like it. Good enough to be staged. It wasn't stage, was it? I don't know what's going on but I just started thinking about Led Zeppelin. Perhaps it's the lead-coloured motif. I'm afraid if I get too close to your photo it might leave a mark on my face.

Even in bright sunshine the Catbird appears Monochromatic.
The birdbath has weathered to this grey ish look over the years, it was green originally.
