Title: Newtonbrook Creek Pathway June 3
Post by: Ally on June 03, 2021, 10:41:21 PM
Didn't expect a lot, but the results were quite good. I was attracted by the the call of the great crested flycatcher. While I was taking photos of him, I noticed movements in the neighbouring tree, turned out to be a cuckoo. And the cuckoo actually attacked the flycatcher. Too many leaves to catch it, but it was astonishing to witness.

This vireo didn't choose her nest site well. She and her nest were completely visible. And in case people couldn't find it, she called the whole time to get attention.
A RTH was driven out, and Cedar waxwings were passing food

Discovered a pond by accident. Got a pair of tree swallows, one muskrat, loads of frogs and even more RWBBs.
