Hi All,
Today I spent half my time at Rosetta McClain Gardens and the other half at Scarborough Bluffs Park.....54 different species were observed including the following highlights: Sharp-shinned Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Ruby-throated Hummingbird (male and female), Great Crested Flycatcher, Swainson's Thrush, Cedar Waxwing, Orange-crowned Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Bay-breasted Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Wilson's Warbler, Canada Warbler, Orchard Oriole (male and female)
Some other birds seen were: Veery, Nashville Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Cape May Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, American Redstart, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole (I'll never get tired of seeing these guys!!!), and a Loon was seen flying northward but too high up for an ID.
The Orange-crowned, Tennessee, and Canada Warblers took quite a bit of observing (5 minutes each at least) before I was positive about what I was looking at. Once again, patience pays off!!!
The male Orchard Oriole flew past me at eye level and only about 10 feet away. That was pretty cool!!!
Happy Birding!

I just left Rosetta about 15 minutes ago. I saw a bird I've never seen before, it was the size of a robin, the back had the same colouring as a robin, the head was black and where a robin is orange, this bird was white. Any idea as to what it was?

Sounds like it was an Eastern Towhee.

I googled Eastern Towhee and all the pictures had some orange on the bird. This one didn't have orange on it.

Hi Lee,
Could it possibly have been an Eastern Kingbird that you saw?
