Title: Fewer Butterflies This Year
Post by: Axeman on June 09, 2021, 12:08:17 PM
We have two different Lilac bushes at our place. One is a taller bush that blooms earlier in the spring while the other is a topiary (big bulbous habit on a stick...kinda like a lilac lollipop) which blooms later in the spring. The topiary is a beacon for butterflies however this year, the butterflies did not come. I saw a single yellow swallowtail sailing around one day but that's been it and the blooms are now gone....anyone else notice a decrease in butterflies?
