Post by: Ally on June 10, 2021, 08:59:23 AM
This is at least the second time they were pecking on something on the wall. Why?

I have a similar problem. Lately, almost everything drives me up the wall.

The goldfinch may be picking Gypsy moth caterpillars from the house wall. The caterpillars are everywhere around here. Hanging from the house, all over the garage door, trying to look into the window. I've never seen it this bad. And there are very few birds to eat them. About the only birds I see are robins and starlings. Have not even seen a Grackle yet. Oh ya, a few cowbirds too.
