Title: Claireville Conservation Area June 14- Female Bunting with the biggest grub
Post by: Ally on June 14, 2021, 05:06:54 PM
Couldn't find bird in the woods, even though I could hear them. So happy to come upon this Bunting mom with the biggest grub. I think it's blocking her sight a little, so she kept turning from left to right to left, which increased the difficulty to take a funny photo of her. She puffed up briefly, which was so funny looking.

Some well-fed dramatic chickadee fledglings and their exhausted parent.

I really like that last shot of the female Indigo bunting. Unfortunately a soft focus but the light and bokeh is wonderful.

Some grass and about 6-8 meters between us, and I didn't want to scare her further away. I was disappointed myself, I thought they would be sharper. It was slightly dim lighted and a bit overcast right after the rain.
