Title: Bluffers Park
Post by: Ann Brokelman on May 22, 2008, 09:54:09 PM
Today went down to Bluffers Park with Bluffs Birder.  We saw a nice night heron, a mom and ducks, barn swallow playing in a puddle and another bird which we couldn't identify.  I am going to post it with hopes someone else can.

It was very quiet down at the park today.  Bluffs Birder I know had a ton of birds from other locations.  Ann

Not sure what this is.  Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks Brian.  That was my guess but I wasn't sure.  Ann

Hi there Ann - sorry, I went during work hours and didn't get a chance to give you a ring!  Looks like you spent some time over at the ponds - if you get the chance, you should head over to the Eastern beach and do the walk out to the point - plenty of songbirds to see and photograph.

Couldn't believe the Western Beach was barren.  Shows you just how much a place can change and how quickly.

Here's some of my captures of the day - http://www.flickr.com/photos/thehotramp/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/thehotramp/)

Hi Attila:  I was also there during the day.  I also took some time off.  We did go to the eastern beach but again very quiet.  Thats ok.  It was just nice to get out of the office and go for a walk.  Ann
