Title: Flogging a dead horse
Post by: Shortsighted on July 08, 2021, 10:40:37 AM
For a nature-themed forum, this site has been seeing a disturbing level of abuse. Why such interest in a relatively moribund site? If it were not for Ally's steadfast command at the controls of the ventilator and the Goose's Jedi skill set this site would have already asphyxiated. Doe's Russians! Are they that bored? Don't be surprised if moderating this forum will eventually become a Herculean task and beyond reasonable resuscitation. All good things must come to an end. Let's go out with a bang. Supernova anyone?

Rather than following in Atlas' footsteps, there are several technological solutions that I can employ to keep the bots at bay. I'll probably start installing & testing some of them this weekend.  - I hadn't bothered with them up until now because it hadn't been nessesary, and I didn't want to risk locking legitimate people out. But things are starting to get out of hand.

My greatest achievement in the past 4 years and 51 days is to nag SS and Goose to keep this site alive. 4 years and 51 days is the time between my two trips to Pelee.
